Burrito Martinez opens scoring for RSL, subbed off minutes later

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Burrito Martinez continued his goalscoring antics from last week in tonight's match against LA Galaxy, handing Real Salt Lake a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute.

Compared to his goal from last week, though, this one looked almost routine — there was no fancy dribbling or any of that; he merely got his head on the end of a very well-placed Luke Mulholland cross.

Of course, that lead didn't last long — only minutes later, Gyasi Zardes scored from a stunning strike from 20 yards out, leveling the score at 1-1. In the 26th minute, LA took a 2-1 lead with a Mike Magee goal.

And it only got worse than that: Five minutes later, Burrito Martinez was forced off with some sort of injury, being replaced by left back (and left winger) Demar Phillips. Initial indications seemed to be that it was a knee injury, but there was no telling if it come from contact or not. He was seen having his knee wrapped with ice in the 26th minute.
