Sometimes, post-match and mid-match interviews can turn out intense (see: Chris Wingert against LA Galaxy), boring (see: most of them), or insightful (see: a select few that talk about tactics).
Kyle Beckerman's after Real Salt Lake beat Sporting Kansas City for the second time this season at their home ground? It's up there with the best.
When asked after the match how Real Salt Lake managed their win, Beckerman had probably the best quote of the night. Let's just watch it.
"Um, we scored more goals than they did ... that was a big factor."
How Beckerman manages that without cracking a grin is beyond me — he's clearly enjoying himself, and he makes good fun of his interviews. It's hard not to love this guy — even if opposing fans always seem to heap hate on our beloved captain.
As a bonus, Salt Lake Tribune reporter Aaron Falk (he's on the Utah Jazz beat, but he was once on the RSL beat) shared this ever-so-excellent Kyle Beckerman quote.
Beckerman was just being a wise ass about the goals. But KB5 on the meaning of the World Cup is a delicious wine. https://t.co/nvhq5ZqtIW

That's our captain, and we love him.
