Player ratings: Colorado 1-0 RSL

Only a few players had really nice showings against Colorado. Let's examine.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Colorado Rapids Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 6 Nick had his work cut out for him in Colorado and spent plenty of time getting after his defenders for not reacting or pressuring quick enough. He came up with a save or two, but nothing out of this world. Which for Rimando, is actually abnormal. We are too used to his magnificence.

Demar Phillips - 6.5 Phillips looked pretty sharp and was one of the brighter spots on the field for RSL.

Jamison Olave - 6.5 This was one of Olave's better games so far this year. He had a couple of nice steps that prevented goals and was committed to helping his team.

Justen Glad - 5.5 Glad was a bit slow to react a few times and probably could have stepped up a bit more when danger came. On the other hand, when he plays RSL doesn't concede much.

Tony Beltran - 6 Beltran was visibly frustrated for a while but he was one of the leaders on the field to help the team react in the second half.

Kyle Beckerman - 7.5 Beckerman was a work horse in Colorado. He was all over the field making stops and taking shots. Unlucky for him, Zac MacMath came up big on Beckerman two times when he pulled the trigger, both of which looked like sure goals until they weren't.

Sunny Obayan - 5.5 Sunny did not have a stand out game like he typically does. He was probably a bit rusty after coming back from a minor injury.

Javier Morales - 5 That was odd. Morales did not create one key pass the entire game. That is especially abnormal for him. I didn't see the flashes of brilliance from him that we are accustomed to. Maybe Colorado pulled off their game plan to perfection?

Juan Manuel Martinez - 6.5 Martinez was creating chances but nobody was making the right runs to finish them. He once again had a gif worthy moment or two.

Yura Movsisyan - 6 Movsisyan showed some selflessness a a few times trying to find the man with the best shot. He was demanding attention as always but was unable to capitalize.

Jordan Allen - 5 That was a quiet game for Allen, a little too quiet. He had a hard time getting involved after a man of the match performance last week.

Substitutions

Luke Mulholland - 6 Luke was involved in getting RSL forward and making things happen. He deserves a ton of credit for what looked like a better team in the last 30 or so minutes of the game.

Joao Plata - 5 Plata had a chance to give Movsisyan a one on one and gave him an errant pass that was easily taken advantage of by Colorado. He wasn't in quite the right channels, but let's give the guy a break after being out for a couple weeks.
