After Real Salt Lake ceded two of the three points available for the taking to Portland Timbers, they’re forced to turn around and fight once again — this time, facing a surging New York Red Bulls.
Yes, that’s a New York side that has won four consecutive games, not conceding in any of them.

Lineup news
- Sunny only played 60 minutes on Saturday, giving us reason to suspect he may not be available for this one. Of course, that could have been done with an eye toward getting him on the pitch today, as well, so it’s hard to say right now.
- Kyle Beckerman is out, and he would be even if the U.S. didn’t have a third-place game on Saturday to play. He should be back Tuesday against Seattle Sounders.
The following players played 120 minutes on Tuesday, then 90 minutes on Saturday:
- Aaron Maund
- Chris Wingert
- Luke Mulholland
- Juan Manuel Martinez
- Javier Morales
Don’t be surprised if one to five of those players sit on the bench.

No reason. It’s just a memory we don’t want to forget.
