Player ratings: Vancouver 2-0 RSL

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Vancouver Whitecaps FC Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

Jeff Attinella - 5 Attinella didn’t really do anything wrong, but he didn’t really come up with any critical saves either. He had a decent save on Kudo when the game was already essentially out of reach. His distribution of the ball was fair, but not as good as one would like.

Chris Wingert - 5.5 WIngert got beat a few times but his service in the box was as good as anyone’s on the night for RSL.

Aaron Maund - 6 Maund wore the captain’s armband on the night and was probably the best defender on the night. The problem is that it wasn’t a great night for the defense.

Justen Glad - 5 As is to be expected, the young Justen Glad got turned around once or twice. He had the own goal which wasn’t 100% his fault, but otherwise had a good showing outside of a those few minor errors.

Tony Beltran - 4.5 TOny had some uncharacteristic giveaways and miscommunication in Vancouver. He was good on his side of the field, but not dominant like he is capable of being.

John Stertzer - 4 It was a pretty quiet game for Stertzer who was unable to get too involved on either side of the ball.

Luke Mulholland - 5 Luke was one of the aggressors on offense, but the chances he had were not good takes. He could have done more with his chances to be sure.

Omar Holness - 6 Holness had a nice bounce back game after looking a bit out of sorts in the last game. He was playing with more confidence and got on the end of a speedy ball from Beltran that nearly went in.

Jordan Allen - 6 Allen was one of the few players that consistently gave the Vancouver defense fits. He was fouled a lot as a consequence.

Olmes Garcia - 6 This was one of Olmes’ better games in quite a while. He was active and creating chances for those around him. He got one shot off at the end of the game that was unlucky not to go in.

Yura Movsisyan - 6.5 Movsisyan worked hard as we have seen all season, but was unable to finish the chances he had. One thing is for sure, he never gave up and sent one off the crossbar in the dying seconds.

Substitutions

Juan Manuel Martinez - 6 Burrito played with a calm confidence and much like Morales, came on with some intention to provide a lift.

Javier Morales - 6 Morales and his veteran experience combined with his technical ability brought some much needed drive to the attack. Unfortunately, no goals came of it.

Boyd Okwuonu - N/A
