Nick Rimando - 6.5 Depsey’s penalty miss was at least in part influenced by the intimidation factor that Rimando brings in that situation. What was more impressive was Rimando’s save in the ensuing chaos.
Tony Beltran - 6 Tony was pretty impressive with some of his tackles and saves, but didn’t have an outstanding night as far as service in the final third goes.
Justen Glad - 5 This game was a mixed bag for Glad who gave up a penalty late in the game that very well could have sealed it for Seattle. Luckily Dempsey missed, but the game was a loss either way. The flip side was that Glad did really well against Dempsey when called upon. And his foul on Friberg was a sight to behold.
Jamison Olave - 6 Olave might be the consistent starter at center back now that Maund may very well be out for a while. His game against Seattle was another good one and he even did it on turf.
Demar Phillips - 4 Demar got caught sleeping for a split second when Jordan Morris got his goal. He did not look sharp for much of the game.
Luke Mulholland - 5 Outside of a couple early shots from distance, Luke had a really quiet game.
Javier Morales - 5 Morales had trouble connecting with his intended targets in the final third.
Kyle Beckerman - 7 Beckerman was the man of the match for the whole game. He was making some really impressive, fun-to-watch plays that broke up what Seattle was attempting to do. His passing going forward was second to none and provided some really good chances for RSL.
Juan Manuel Martinez - 4 Burrito lost the ball in some bad spots on a few occasions and it seemed like every time he tried to get past a defender he got beat. I’m not sure what is up with Martinez lately.
Joao Plata - 6.5 Plata was gifted a goal when Movsisyan won the ball from Frei, but he put it in cool and calm.
Olmes Garcia - 5.5 Olmes didn’t have the showing we were expecting after his last few games in which he threatened for much of the match.
Substitutes
Yura Movsisyan - 7 Movsisyan came on at half and changed the game for RSL. His leadership and drive force his teammates to step up and work harder.
