Player ratings: Toronto 1-0 RSL

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Toronto FC John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 6.5 Nick only had one goal get past him and there was nothing he could do about it. He was solid the rest of the night, but there weren’t any out of this world saves.

Tony Beltran - 4.5 Tony had a fair showing but let Ricketts get a step on him which led to the game-winner for Toronto.

Justen Glad - 7.5 Glad went up against the reigning MLS MVP and got the better of him. Giovinco really only had one or two half chances and Glad was able to contain him the rest of the night.

Aaron Maund - 6.5 Maund went to battle the whole night and did pretty well. When Altidore came on, that caused him a bit of trouble though.

Demar Phillips - 6 Phillips was strong and once again showed well in the RSL uniform. Not much got through him.

John Stertzer - 5.5 Stertzer was gritty on defense as per usual, but didn’t have much in the arsenal going forward.

Javier Morales - 6 Morales did pretty well but seemed to be just a bit off on that final pass.

Kyle Beckerman - 5.5 Let’s be honest. Beckerman probably had the best chance of the night very early in the game and left us wanting heading it wide right.

Juan Manuel Martinez - 5 There have been a string of games now in which Burrito is unable to get much going. He had a decent header that nearly went in but that was his highlight.

Joao Plata - 5.5 Plata had two good locks that he wishes he could have back. He should have found the back of the net on at least one of them.

Olmes Garcia - 5.5 Olmes looked alright, but it has been a very long time since he scored a goal. He did other things well and used his speed to his advantage, but that only gets you so far.

Substitutes

Luke Mulholland - 6 Luke came on and did what he was supposed to which was to give RSL a fresh look going forward.

Omar Holness - 5 Holness came on when RSL desperately needed a game but was unable to take full advantage of the opportunity.
