Real Salt Lake midfielder Omar Holness has been called up for a friendly against the United States Men’s National Team for the Jamaican side.
Holness, 22, has been called in for Jamaica before, with his first appearance coming in September 2014 — well before RSL drafted him. He was last called in for World Cup qualifiers and a Caribbean Cup qualifier in September and October, respectively.
We’ll see if Holness plays in this one, but it would be a good opportunity for us to get a look at him. That’s doubly the case because he’ll be missing part of RSL’s preseason with Jamaica, so there’s added value to watching.
The U.S. takes on Jamaica in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Friday; kickoff is at 5 p.m. Mountain.
