Albert Rusnak to Real Salt Lake is a done deal, according to reports from Fox Sports Netherlands.
The news outlet reported today that the RSL and Rusnak came to an agreement on personal terms for a four-year deal, with the final year as an option year.
Real Salt Lake and FC Groningen reportedly came to a deal in the past few days agreeing a deal between the two clubs, and other reports said that Rusnak had already been in contact with the club to discuss personal terms.
This comes on the back of just over a week of speculation about Rusnak, who started his career — yes, we’ve written this a million times before — at Manchester City in England.
We’ve reached out to RSL Communications for confirmation on the deal, and we’ll report back when we hear official word. It’s obviously not over until it’s over — especially in MLS — but this seems to be taking a very positive turn.
UPDATE: RSL Communications has told us that there are “still a few signatures to go” in the deal. That would be normal procedure for any transfer into the league.
