Player Ratings: Colorado 1-0 RSL

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Colorado Rapids Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 5 Rimando wasn’t very occupied against Colorado. RSL’s defense broke early in the game and a goal got past him allowing RSL to keep the ball for most of the match thereafter.

Danilo Acosta - 6.5 Acosta was one of RSL’s greatest assets on the night. He was creating chances, getting past defenders, and providing solid help defense. He was in the mix all over the field.

David Horst - 5 Horst and Glad appeared to have a miscommunication in the third minute leading to the Colorado goal. After that, Horst was pretty good, although not too busy. He had a header that nearly tied the game.

Justen Glad - 5 Not too much was asked of Glad, but he did what he was supposed to except for one of the first plays of the game when his partnership with Horst broke down momentarily.

Tony Beltran - 5.5 Beltran was playing with aggressiveness until he was removed due to injury.

Kyle Beckerman - 6 Beckerman had some of RSL’s best scoring chances and was pushing to make something happen. Unfortunately, Colorado parked the bus.

Luke Mulholland - 5 Luke had more of a quiet night than usual. He had a couple looks at the goal, but not too much else was happening.

Albert Rusnak - 4.5 Rusnak had what was probably his most silent game against the Rapids. Maybe he was fatigued from Slovakia’s World Cup Qualifying games as well as the travel?

Brooks Lennon - 6 Lennon was getting the best of the Colorado defense and repeatedly feeding the ball in the box. He was having a nice game, but nobody could finish their chances.

Luis Silva - 5.5 Luis had some great passing play and set up Plata nicely a couple times, but it didn’t end up in the net.

Joao Plata - 6.5 Plata had the best look of the night but Tim Howard and the Colorado defense came up when called upon.

Substitutions

Demar Phillips - 5 Phillips came on and looked a bit rusty, not that he was making huge mistakes. He simply wasn’t as effective as he normally is.

Bofo Saucedo - 6.5 Bofo had a volley that looked destined to go in. It truly was a great shot. He subbed on and brought some energy and some fresh looks at the goal.
