WATCH: Brooks Lennon doubles RSL’s lead over SKC

Your favorite Liverpudlian scored a real beauty.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Colorado Rapids Troy Babbitt-USA TODAY Sports

The kid from Liverpool Paradise City, Arizona, is only further cementing his way into the hearts of Real Salt Lake fans, with his latest effort at cementing coming today against Sporting Kansas City with what can only be described as a Very Good Goal™.

Lennon, who is on loan at Real Salt Lake from Liverpool, wasn’t successful with his first attempt, which slammed off SKC goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra. Still, he picked up that rebound and knew exactly what to do with it, which was put it right where it belongs in the back of the net.

He told the ball to go home, and it did.

At halftime, Real Salt Lake sits one point out of a playoff spot, with FC Dallas leading LA Galaxy 2-1 and San Jose sitting knotted 1-1 with Minnesota.

This promised to be a very exciting match, and it hasn’t let us down. Luis Silva scored the opener, which was a real beauty on its own. Let’s keep watching.
