Nick Rimando - 6.5 Rimando put his body on the line in at least two of his four saves. He was a big part of RSL getting the full three points.
Danilo Acosta - 5.5 Acosta showed some flash with the ball at his feet and was pretty solid defensively.
Marcelo Silva - 6 Silva played calm and confident in a game with a lot on the line for RSL. He made some big stops.
Justen Glad - 7 Glad had some impressive last ditch effort saves to keep Sporting off the scoreboard until the end of the game.
Chris Wingert - 5 Wingert held things down on his side of the field filling in for an injured Tony Beltran.
Kyle Beckerman - 7 Beckerman was zoned in the whole 90 minutes. He really did look as good as he ever has in this game. If the front office was needing some assurance that he hasn’t lost a step before they re-sign him, they need not look further than this game.
Luke Mulholland - 6.5 Luke dug in on defense and matched the high pressure and quick transition that Sporting KC employed. He didn’t back down from a challenge and came out ahead on most.
Albert Rusnak - 5.5 Rusnak nearly had a couple goals, but stepped on the ball on the first chance and Dykstra barely got his hands on his second. Overall, not his best game, but he was there to clean things up when RSL was looking to maintain possession.
Brooks Lennon - 7.5 Lennon was very involved in most of RSL’s scoring chances and put in the work to win the ball back as soon as RSL lost possession. He was rewarded with a goal and nearly got a second if not for Dykstra’s pesky leg being in the way. He put in a great game in the last RSL match of 2017.
Luis Silva - 6 Silva had a nice precision goal very early on but whiffed a couple other chances that came his way.
Joao Plata - 5.5 Plata didn’t seem to find much footing in this game, though he was able to get behind the defense a few times to give RSL some looks.
Jefferson Savarino - 5.5 Savarino came on and was a bit rusty, but did connect well a few times.
Demar Phillips - N/A
Yura Movsisyan - N/A
