Brooks Lennon got another opportunity to start against Sporting KC and made the most of the opportunity in what ended up being RSL’s last game of 2017.
Lennon had three shots, and all of them were on goal. He scored the insurance goal that proved to be the game-winner for the home side. He was a creator, giving ample opportunities to his teammates and putting RSL in a great positions in front of goal. He was the main offensive catalyst over the course of the 90 minutes. On top of that, his hustle and hard work on defense led to RSL re-gaining possession and then quickly transitioning to move the ball forward.
Lennon didn’t always have this kind of performance when he got the start, but the effort was always there. This time, he was rewarded with a goal and the Man of the Match award.
