We finally did it! Two interviews we've really wanted to do and we got them back to back.
Andy "bommadog" Williams, RSL legend, number 77, and RSL Head Scout joined us to talk about the scouting process and what actually goes on during an offseason/transfer window/silly season.
We talk about his process identifying and tracking players in the different leagues he's keeping an eye on and how that information ends up leading to signing a player like Rusnak, Savarino, or MSilva. There's so much there that I think we have all wondered about and he shares some really fun and interesting insights into what is going on behind the scenes.
We also talked a little bit about some players that got away in the recent past and some of the complications that tend to come up with the transfer process just in general. There's a weird "black box" that exists between when the team finds a player and makes an offer and when the player signs or walks away. So many things can happen there and we asked him about it.
There are also some very interesting tid-bits that Andy drops here and there. If you're as obsessed with the off-season as we are, you're gonna love this one.
