We all want to go to every home Real Salt Lake game but unfortunately sometimes you might have to choose between RSL and the rest of life. So if you can’t make every home game here is my list of 5 must make home games for the 2017 season.
1) March 4, Toronto FC
It’s the season opener for RSL and the first game at the RioT for the 2017 campaign. As fans we need to help set the tone for the season at home. Remind the team of what they mean to us and our city. They feed off our energy and I would argue it’s our duty to show up loud and proud!

2) October 22, Sporting Kansas City:
Kansas City has grown over the last few seasons to become a heated rival. In case you need any reminders just remember Open Cup 2016, Feilhaber’s feelings about RSL and of course MLS Cup finals 2013 (I’ll spare you the link, we all remember what happened). Add in that this is the last game of the regular season and you got a recipe for a heated and highly contested game! In 2016 only 1 point separated RSL and KC going into the playoffs, I suspect that these 3 points are going to be huge for at least one side, which should make for an entertaining game.

3) August 26, Colorado Rapids
Rocky Mountain Cup, need I say more? Yes, it’s the 2nd game of the RMC — (the only leg to be played in Utah — but if we get a good result away in April then we could clinch the cup at home. Sure, the RMC doesn’t come with any extra allocation money or CCL births but beating Colorado will never get old to us fans!

4) March 14, Los Angeles Galaxy
LA is one of two teams we play three times this season (SKC is the other), this is the only time we will see LA in Utah. The last 3 times RSL has made the playoffs, LA has been the first team we faced, losing twice and beating them once in 2013 on our way to the finals. This history always adds extra fuel to these games, plus they are our second closest geographic rivals, which can lead to larger away fan turn out.

5) Friday, June 30, Orlando City:
This is the only home game currently scheduled to be nationally televised. Being seen on ESPN is important for any and all sport teams. It’s unfortunate we only have the one this year, so let’s have the best showing we can! It’s also another chance to remind Jason Kreis what he left behind.

Every home game is important with how tight the Western Conference typically is at the end of the season so we hope to see you all at every game! But if not, did we miss one that your excited about?
