RSL vs. LA Galaxy: What we learned

Real Salt Lake’s 2-1 loss to LA Galaxy had plenty of bad — but those kids? They’re good.

There's a fine line between understanding the emotions that go on in a game and getting everything completely wrong, which is unfortunately what the ref chose to do tonight. That's all I'll say about that.

The Good

The kids are a little more than alright. I've seen one game from him, but I am officially for starting Brooks Lennon over Jordan Allen. Sebastian Saucedo is starting to look much more like an RSL super sub, which is absolutely crucial for us right now, and even Justin Schmidt looks like an amazing pick from the draft (someone I would argue may have been picked up to play for the Monarchs).

I think a lot of how we played tonight paralleled the atmosphere at the RioT. I haven't felt this excited about being home in a long time—hell, who has? The atmosphere was amazing and the kids (Lennon and Saucedo) ran with it, showing how much potential they have.

The Bad

As the level of play went down, so did the atmosphere in the stadium. The second half was dismal. We lost battles, had poor possession, and the RSL of recent memory snuck back into everyone's mind as the level of play and noise continuously fell until the ref relieved us all of our sorrows. I think Silva came on too late, and that's all I'll say about that.

The Ugly

here is so much here, but the words are lost as of now. I love this club, and I will come to every game. I froze my ass off
