A strong first half, a weak second: How will that affect your player ratings?

Real Salt Lake’s 2-1 loss against LA Galaxy has us all a bit perplexed — mostly, I think we’re all wondering when Real Salt Lake will win again. We haven’t won in ages, and it’s starting to wear on us.

But you know what? Most of Real Salt Lake’s players weren’t so bad against the Galaxy. That’s especially true for some of RSL’s youngsters, who looked well beyond their years in ability.

Player Ratings guide

  • 1: Awful. Dismal. The worst performance you’ve ever seen.
  • 3: Distinctly below average. Did not contribute positively, but didn’t cost the points single-handedly.
  • 5: Average. Didn’t do anything to differentiate themselves, didn’t stand out.
  • 6: Reasonably good. Didn’t hurt the team at all.
  • 7: Good. Made a good, positive impact on the team.
  • 8: Great. Was involved in key moments of the game. Didn’t make many mistakes, and certainly no glaring ones.
  • 9: Amazing. Probably the man of the match.
  • 10: Brilliant. Unstoppable. The best performance you’ve seen, maybe.
