Malta vs. Slovakia, World Cup qualifiers: Schedule, kickoff time, live stream

Albert Rusnak could find himself in a World Cup qualifier against Malta. Will he get the start?

MLS: Los Angeles Galaxy at Real Salt Lake Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

Real Salt Lake’s impressive young attacking midfielder, Albert Rusnák, has never appeared for Slovakia in competitive action. Today might change that as Slovakia travels to the island nation of Malta in what’s sure to be a relatively straightforward affair.

Rusnak has been capped before, and he’s appeared extensively for the nation’s youth setups — but a World Cup qualifier is a bigger affair, and he’s in a midfield that has some notable veterans, including Marek Hamsik. We’ll see if he plays, of course. There’s certainly no guarantee.

Here’s how you can watch this one.

How to watch

  • Kickoff time: 12:45 p.m. Mountain
  • TV: None in USA
  • Live stream: Fox Soccer 2Go
  • Potential live stream options: TVM 2 in Malta, maybe others

Did you know?

  • The last time Malta apparently won a match was in 2013 against Armenia. Yura Movsisyan played 45 minutes in that match, coming on at half-time.
