Player Ratings: Colorado 1-2 RSL

The first 80 minutes weren’t great. The last 10 were incredible.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Colorado Rapids Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 6 Not too much was asked of Rimando, but he was there when called upon.

Danilo Acosta - 6 Acosta was not as involved as he was in his debut, but he still had a pretty solid outing creating a half chance or two and locking his side down for most of the match.

Chris Schuler - 5 Schuler had a pretty good game but a horrible giveaway towards the end that could have been costly had the Rapids taken full advantage of the situation.

Chris Wingert - 6.5 Wingert played smart once again and was asked to do a lot in the center position. He was clearly robbed of what would have been his second career goal too.

Demar Phillips - 5.5 Phillips was not pressuring the attackers quite quick enough a couple times, but was pretty well in control of his side of the field.

Kyle Beckerman - 6.5 The captain made smart, tactical fouls and didn’t let his team give up even though their game plan was not working exactly as planned.

Luke Mulholland - 5.5 Luke was definitely a defensive aggressor on the night but committed a lot of fouls along the way and could have gotten himself and the team in trouble.

Albert Rusnak - 5 Rusnak did not quite have the kind of follow up performance one would hope for after his breakout game against Vancouver. A few of his attempts were way off the mark, others were alright. But he needs to take the wheel and drive the offense.

Brooks Lennon - 7 Lennon got his first MLS goal in fashion. That was quite the timely take from distance to win the game. He wasn’t able to get too much going in the first half, but pushed the issue for a lot of the second.

Yura Movsisyan - 6 Yura wasn’t having much of an effect on the game for about 70 minutes, but then when it came down to it he took a great penalty to tie the game.

Sebastian Saucedo - 5.5 Bofo had a great take in the first half that went just wide, but that was more than anyone else could say for themselves over the first 45 minutes.

Substitutions

Luis Silva - 5.5 Silva didn’t accomplish too much with the 25 or so minutes he had, but in fairness, nobody on RSL was able to get much going for most of the game.
