RSL vs. Atlanta: Albert Rusnak, Man of the Match

Salt Lake’s lone goal came from the Slovakian DP.

Real Salt Lake struggled against expansion side Atlanta United, let’s be clear. Albert Rusnak did not have an incredible game by any means, but he was the best of the group.

Rusnak scored the home team’s only goal in the loss, and it wasn’t an easy finish. He scored from the top of the box, somehow finding an angle with two defenders chasing him. sure enough, he found the far post and got RSL on the board.

Demar Phillips deserves a good amount of credit for getting the ball to that point, but Rusnak made yhe most of it.

Rusnak was also very close on his service in the box, only a foot off at times. Most of Real Salt Lake’s looks came through him.

Rusnak seems to be getting more in rhythm every game and his game against Atlanta was another positive showing.
