Savarino called up for Venezuela friendlies, including Rio Tinto match vs. USA

Jefferson Savarino will miss one match for RSL, but at least he’ll be at Rio Tinto that day.

Jefferson Savarino has been called up for two Venezuela friendlies, one of which pits him against the United States in a match at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Savarino, 20, has played in every RSL match available to him since he joined the club on May 9, starting once and earning one assist in the process.

The first match, taking place on June 3 at Rio Tinto Stadium, means he’ll miss RSL’s match against FC Dallas. The team has no match the following weekend, so he’ll miss only the one.

Matches

  • June 3 vs. USA in Sandy, Utah
  • June 8 vs. Ecuador in Boca Raton, Florida
