Ricardo Velazco hasn’t been with Real Salt Lake for long, having signed in September 2016 after impressing repeatedly for Real Monarchs. And now, in only his second first-team start, he’s scored his first competitive goal for the club.

Velazco, a product of the Real Salt Lake Academy in Casa Grande, Arizona, took his strike extremely well, running at two center backs before opening space for a shot from outside the box.
Of course, Velazco’s first-half strike wasn’t enough to keep the club level for more than 15 minutes, as RSL finished the first half down 3-1 to Sacramento.
