In so many ways this Sacramento loss was a surprise. The line up was not what most expected, nor was the result. SO much to talk about with the starting 11 and bench and the performances that some players gave. In a match like this against a team that Monarchs beat pretty handily could we have taken a different approach and gotten a better result? There are a lot of questions around why changes to the back 4 from the Monarchs were made when they have been so good together this year. Even more questions have come up about the future of some of the squad players from the first team that saw starts in this one. Schmidt and Dunk should have permanent question marks over their heads now.
Minnesota comes to town today (Saturday) and this is a MUST WIN for RSL. With players back from international duty and returning from injury Mike finally has a full roster to choose from. It’s kind of exciting and also terrifying.
