Player Ratings: RSL 1:0 Minnesota

Everyone stepped up at home to get a much-needed win.

MLS: Minnesota United FC at Real Salt Lake Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 5 Rimando did not have a bad game. He simply didn’to do much. One save to be exact.

Danilo Acosta - 6.5 Acosta had a pretty quiet game, but in a good way. He controlled his side of the field and looked very confident.

Aaron Maund - 6 Maund made some pretty timely steps and won some aerial battles. It was clearly one of his better showings of the year.

Justen Glad - 7.5 Glad had a fantastic return to RSL in his first game for the club in 2017. His presence gave the back line that extra bit of stability they’d been missing. Like Petke said, “He’s not Pique....yet.”

Tony Beltran - 6.5 Beltran looked like Beltran again. He was as determined as anyone on the field to get the full three points from this game.

Kyle Beckerman - 6.5 Beckerman looked great. He put his head down and went to work, winning the ball and distributing well. Classic Beckerman.

Luke Mulholland - 6.5 Luke was very unlucky not to get on the stat sheet. He had a couple of great looks that Shuttleworth scuttled. More importantly, he was all over the field helping everyone.

Jefferson Savarino - 7.5 Savarino looked really comfortable in the driver’s seat of the RSL offense. He got off seven shots and created plenty of RSL’s 29 shots.

Brooks Lennon - 6 It’s great to have Lennon back on the field. He makes RSL better, no question. He didn’t get the ball as much as he probably should have, but that’s not his fault.

Joao Plata - 7 Outside of a couple heavy touches, Plata played really well. He, like Savarino, created more than a few scoring chances for Real and has had a run of four or five games where he looks like the Plata we got accustomed to over the past few years.

Luis Silva - 6.5 Silva’s hold up play was really fun to watch. He had some incredibly skilled touches and helped RSL get the ball in the right spots in their attack.

Substitutions

Yura Movsisyan - 6.5 Being in the right place at the right time counts for something, doesn’t it? It wasn’t the most skilled goal you’ll ever see, but it counted for three points on the night.
