RSL was not sharp enough in Montreal.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Montreal Impact Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 4.5 Rimando made some questionable decisions that didn’t pan out for him and there weren’t any saves to his name on the night.

Chris Wingert - 5 Wingert won a foot race or two, but also got beat a few times. He did not look like he shouldn’t have got the start, however.

Marcelo Silva - N/A Silva went off in the 6th minute due to injury precaution.

Justen Glad - 5 Glad got caught poking at the ball a few times and paid for it on at least one of the Montreal goals. He put forth a lot of effort, but was up against some of the best.

Tony Beltran - 5.5 Beltran was on the wrong end of some bounces that Montreal was able to capitalize on. He made some smart tactical fouls and did his best to contain Piatti, but it was a tall order.

Kyle Beckerman - 5 Beckerman wasn’t able to calm down the midfield like he normally is. He had some uncharacteristic turnovers on top of that.

Stephen Sunny - 5.5 Sunny had some really bright moments connecting passes in the final third and had other moments where he gave the ball away cheaply.

Albert Rusnak - 6 Rusnak played with confidence and picked up an assist on the beautiful layoff for Silva, but didn’t take the reins at the top of the midfield.

Jefferson Savarino - 5.54 Savarino provided some incredible footwork to get around defenders and created some good looks for RSL. He also lost the ball a few times in dangerous spots.

Luis Silva - 6.5 Silva scored a stunner on a tight angle and very well could have had another two goals. The ball wanted to get in the net, but Evan Bush was able to thwart the plans two times and the post once.

Brooks Lennon - 5 Lennon was wrongly done by the ref on the diving call when he should have got a free kick from a great spot. He nearly had an assist to Silva, but all in all, didn’t fully take advantage of the opportunity to start.

Substitutions

David Horst - 4.5 Horst was called upon to enter the game at an odd time with Silva going down early. He had some good moments digging in on tackles and some bad ones not tracking runners.

Sebastian Saucedo - 6.5 Bofo looked very hungry to contribute to the game and created three or four chances in a relatively short amount of time. He looked as confident as he ever has.

Yura Movsisyan - N/A
