RSL Show (61) - IMFC recap and SJ preview

Montreal came and went and so did three points for RSL. BYE. Never fun to watch your team lose, less fun when they've looked as good as RSL have over the past month and a half.

This one is a little rough. Let's just be honest and say that it's par for the course.

Jake is up in Park City for the week for work meetings and he forgot the mic so Josh and Mitch called in for the show this week. Thanks to the really terrible internet at the house Jake is staying in the intro music is at about a 0 volume and there are some drops at times. We'd say we'll make it up to you, but this isn't the first time and won't be the last that our little operation makes podcasting 1000 times harder than it should be.

ANYWAYS

Montreal came and went and so did three points for RSL. BYE. Never fun to watch your team lose, less fun when they've looked as good as RSL have over the past month and a half. The questions of old have reared their ugly heads -- scoring, poor defensive positioning, complete lack of a midfield -- and now we wonder, again, what one poor result will do for the team over the coming weeks. Will this be motivational and help us find our way or is it a signal that we are still that frail team that limped into July?

Some brief notes:

Luis Silva is here and we like him a lot.

MSilva is more important to the run of good games we've had than some are willing to admit.

Some questions about Brooks Lennon.

Chris Wingert and Chris Penso should both retire at this point.
