There’s no use dancing around it. Albert Rusnak put on the best individual performance of the year for Real Salt Lake on Saturday night.
He was incredible.
He completed almost every one of his passes, 54 out of 56 to be exact. He knew where he wanted to put the ball and he got it there just shy of every time. He created three solid scoring chances. He picked up an assist on the Luis Silva goal and on the Jefferson Savarino goal. And make no mistake about it, while the other goals were nice, those were the goals that mattered the most.
He also scored a clean, one-touch goal with power and precision.
Rusnak is quietly putting together a team-MVP season and while the MLS pundits don’t talk about him much, he is just the type of player that is taking MLS’ quality to the next level.
