Justen Glad was noticeably one of the best if not the best player on the field for either team. He was doing everything he needed to do to give Real Salt Lake the full three points.
There were multiple times that he made the crowd cheer for various reasons. As a defender, that’s tough to do.
His performance against the Rapids included 10 recoveries, clearing he ball from danger seven times, three interceptions, winning seven duels for the ball, making smart tactical fouls, and frustrating Alan Gordon to the point of getting a res card.
It was a busy night for Glad. A lot was asked of him and he met or exceeded every expectation.
