Player Ratings: RSL 0-0 Houston

RSL tried unsuccessfully to break through a stingy defense.

MLS: Houston Dynamo at Real Salt Lake Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 5.5 Rimando didn’t have to deal with a whole lot, but he did make a timely save early on.

Chris Wingert - 4 Both Wingert’s touch and passing were a bit off against the Dynamo. He didn’t have a great game.

Marcelo Silva - 6.5 Silva showed some fantastic ability to win battles and thwart some scary moments. He is fitting in more with every game.

Justen Glad - 6 Glad was able to recover quickly on Houston’s breakaways. He was smart and committed a good tactical foul.

Tony Beltran - 6 Beltran, like much of the RSL defense, stood his ground. He also supported the attack well.

Kyle Beckerman - 6 The captain led the team to battle once again. He was sharp in his passing and tough on defense.

Stephen Sunny - 5.5 Sunny was good on the ball but also made some errant passes.

Albert Rusnak - 6.5 Rusnak is so comfortable and calm on the ball. He made some difficult passes and possessed the ball in tough circumstances.

Jefferson Savarino - 5.5 Savarino had possible the best scoring chance of the night and sent it wide on his attempt to chip the keeper. Because of how the Dynamo sat back, he wasn’t really able to showcase his skills.

Luis Silva - 6 Silva did what Silva does, connecting well in combination play. If he was a bit more deadly with his shots, he would be in very good form.

Joao Plata - 6.5 Plata pulled the trigger a lot, but wasn’t successful in keeping his shots on goal. He set up others, but they had the same problem.

Substitutions

Brooks Lennon - 5.5 Lennon gave Movsisyan a good opportunity to head the ball home and was pretty good in his short time. He did, however, play a strange ball into space that nobody would have been able to get.

Yura Movsisyan - 5 Movsisyan whiffed on his chance to score the game-winner, but did threaten a bit.

Bofo Saucedo - N/A
