Major League Soccer released the 2018 regular season schedule today. We’re taking a look at the games that will be the most crucial to RSL’s success this season.

RSL @ FC Dallas on March 3:

This seems like the obvious one. The season opener is pretty crucial. Most years when RSL plays Dallas it’s in the heat of the summer and we struggle to get points, maybe with the weather on our side we’ll be able to kick off this season with some points in a hard place to play.

RSL vs Colorado Rapids on April 21:

Rock Mountain Cup is always a crazy game. With the cup on the line and the deep hatred between these teams, it’s always a game to pay attention to. Against a huge Western Conference rival it’s crucial to get points here.

RSL vs Sporting Kansas City on July 4:

This has the potential to be the game of the season. It’s always the game that the fans are the most anticipating Revenge on SKC is always a must. Especially being on July 4th again, this is a game you will want to be at. Picking up points here is essential.

RSL @ Atlanta United FC on September 22:

Though typically the Eastern Conference matches aren’t as important as getting points in the west, late in the season this match will be crucial. It is incredibly difficult to go in to Atlanta and get points for any team, and at this point in the season the points will be crucial. 3 points will be a must here.

RSL @ Portland Timbers on October 21:

The regular season finale in Portland is going to be massive. With how tight the West is it has the potential to decide our playoff fate. This is a game we will have to show up to, because getting points will be really difficult.
