Real Salt Lake will be in more than just a little bit of trouble in their next match, which comes in 12 days against New England Revolution.
Why, you ask?
Well, let’s just say that we might see an extra suspension in addition to the yellow card accumulation suspension for Sunny, who got his for an utterly useless dive, and in addition to the same thing for Beckerman, who was perhaps lucky to not see straight red in the match.
Beyond that?
Well, here. There’s Nick Rimando, who it seems did catch Diego Valeri with his studs. We’d be baying for blood if that were Steve Clark on the other end, so let’s be clear-headed about this one. Watch:

Let’s not get away from here without looking at Kyle Beckerman, though. I hate to use the Portland Timbers Twitter account as proof here, but you know what, let’s just go with it.

Ah, that’s not a great look, Kyle. And neither is this, where he did basically the same thing on a corner kick. (This one’s at about 1:10.)
And here’s a little screenshot.

You know what this means, right? We won’t see Beckerman in our final home match of the season. There’s a real chance we won’t see him again in an RSL uniform — though if memory serves, there’s an option year on his current contract.
This match was sure a bad one. Two certain suspensions and one potential suspension could make next match even worse — especially as New England Revolution, our next opponent, will be desperate for a playoff spot.
It’s a shame, really.
