Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. We fought to the point that it almost looked like something might fall our way. Alas.
It was an ugly first half, ugly-ugly, but RSL didn’t give up. They kept in it and fought back. It was an emotional ride.
And now we watch as the playoffs move on without us. It wasn’t our year, but we made more of it than it felt like we would at multiple junctures. It was an exciting ride at times. Frustrating as hell others.
We’ll be watching for off-season movement. While I think there are some players who move along and—hopefully!—some exciting new additions, it’s not what I’m looking for most. What I’ll be watching for most is a continuity of form and cohesion into next year. More than anything else, this team needs to come out on the right page next year. We were assisted into the post-season and we accounted ourselves well. Let’s not lose that. Any of it. Please.
Overreactions
I’ll never purchase an Alcatel phone. Ever. How dare they play a goal against RSL in their terrible commercial. How dare they!
I hope Diego Rubio’s anchor is nearby or he might just get washed away. He blows and washes around so easily. I worry that he’s just going to blow away one day.
Time for some Tillamook S’more ice cream. A whole tub of it.
