It’s shaping up to be a potentially very merry Christmas over here in the Land of Real Salt Lake.
Today, rumored RSL target Germán Cano posted what appears to be a goodbye video to Independiente Medellín supporters — and though it doesn’t explicitly state that fact, it gives us yet another reason to believe that something truly is happening here. (Thanks go here to several Spanish-speaking RSL fans who have helped suss out what Cano says in the video.)

As always, don’t expect this deal to be done until it’s well and truly done — and that means a deal would have to be announced by the club for us to put away any skepticism.
For now, however, it looks like the trip taken by Jamison Olave and, presumably, at least Mike Petke — he posted a very suspicious (well, not suspicious, really, but you get the idea) tweet indicating he’d been on an airplane. And we all know that while you can drive to Colombia, it’s probably not worth the miles you’d put on your car. In fact, Google Maps can’t even calculate driving directions there.
Anyway, yeah. Exciting times, really.
