Soapbox Oracle - 4/15/18

Writer Andy Graff ran away with Oracle of the Week with 19. Three readers tied with 12. Bonus game on Tuesday so get your picks in early!

Oracle Scoring System:

  • Getting the right result (Team A beats Team B): 1 point
  • Each correct number of goals for either team: 1 point (result was 1-1, and you picked 2-1; gives you 1 correct pick and 1 wrong pick so 1 point).
  • If you picked the correct goal for one team, and the final result (result was 2-0, and you picked 2-1; you get 1 point for the goal, and one for the result so 2 points).

So there is are 0-3 points possible for EVERY game. Bonus games will also be added occasionally with International games, Open Cup and others.

Well nearly all of us picked 2 games really badly last week. Check the details on the spreadsheet for Wk 7. This Tuesday’s CCL final game 1 between Toronto FC and Chivas Guadalajara are the bonus for this week, and once again it’s short time, so early birds will get the extra points. Game 2 is the 2nd bonus, which will be carried over for next week.

  • Participation last week: 34 - with 4 carryovers on last Wednesday’s game.
