It would be hard to give the Player of the Match Award to anyone other than the player who scored the first home goal in Utah Royals FC history. Enter Amy Rodriguez. It began with a fantastic tackle, proceeded to some excellent skill on the ball, and finished in the back of the net.

Outside of the goal, A-rod made her first appearance as a starter in well over a year, and only her second within the last two years. Throughout the entirety of the game, she was illustrating excellent movement off the ball looking to open up space and create opportunities.
