Player Ratings: Orlando 3-1 RSL

New, 2 comments

RSL had the game for 60 minutes, then it went into a tailspin.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Orlando City SC Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 5 Rimando made a few saves, but once again, too many got past him.

Pablo Ruiz - 4 Pablo was in a horrible position on Dom Dwyer’s goal that allowed Orlando to get back in the game. In his defense, he’s not an outside back.

Nick Besler - 5.5 Besler did not have any glaring mistakes on any of the goals. He bounced back after going through some growing pains against Vancouver.

Justen Glad - 5 Glad played pretty well until the goals starting coming. He lost his mark on Lamine Sane’s corner goal.

Brooks Lennon - 5.5 Lennon was in better defensive positions this game and looked pretty sharp.

Kyle Beckerman - 6 Beckerman was getting inside Orlando’s head for much of the game and won the ball which led to the lone RSL goal.

Damir Kreilach - 6 Kreilach got forward more often this game and it payed off with an assist and two shots on goal. He seems to be acclimating to the league slowly but surely.

Albert Rusnak - 6 Rusnak had a pretty good game once again, even if he didn’t get on the stat sheet. He showed good control and vision for most of the game.

Jefferson Savarino - 5.5 Savarino’s defense was very good. As soon as the ball was lost, he was in the mode of winning it back. And he succeeded plenty.

Corey Baird - 6.5 Baird very well could have had a hat trick if he was just a bit more clinical in his finishing. His first goal was a great piece of skill, but then he was just a hair off on his other two attempts.

Joao Plata - 5.5 Plata was in the mix and probably should have had a goal had Bendik not had such a great game.
