Player Ratings: L.A. Galaxy 3-0 RSL

It was two halves with two stories.

MLS: Real Salt Lake at Los Angeles Galaxy Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 4.5 Rimando stonewalled Ashley Cole in a one-on-one situation but otherwise didn’t have a great game. He punched a ball that went directly to Zlatan’s head who easily finished it. And three goals made their way into the net.

Danilo Acosta - 6 Danny continued his run of form in L.A. and seems to have earned a consistent starting spot.

Marcelo Silva - 5.5 Silva did some great things in the first half especially. He was not afraid to make some hard tackles to claim his ground. But in the second half, things got out of hand.

Justen Glad - 7 Yes, Zlatan got the best of him on his second goal. No question. But guess what? Zlatan got the best of many of the best defenders in the world over the years. Outside of that, Glad was as solid as he’s been all season long. He made some great recovery saves, none of which were better than denying Zlatan when he thought he had an easy tap-in.

Brooks Lennon - 5.5 Lennon was in the mix on defense all night and did a lot of great things against some high caliber forwards to slow them down.

Damir Kreilach - 6 Kreilach sat back in this one more than we would like, but he was incredible at connecting difficult passes and calming things down when they were shaky.

Sunny - 5 Sunny made some risky decisions that the Galaxy could have taken more advantage of, but he was an engine on the night again.

Albert Rusnak - 5 Rusnak did not do much to make the highlight reel or stat sheet. He was probably tired from traveling across the country.

Jefferson Savarino - 6.5 Savarino gave the Galaxy defense a lot to deal with and was a creator throughout the game.

Corey Baird - 6 Baird was so close to scoring a few goals in this one but was either unable to finish or was robbed by a no call.

Bofo Saucedo - 5 Bofo did not really find the game in this one. He contributed more on defense this game.

Luis Silva - 5 Silva made some good passes, but the Galaxy were firmly in control for his time on the field.

Pablo Ruiz - 5.5 Ruiz had a couple shots in 12 minutes and managed to get one on goal. He looked hungry, which is a good thing.
