Soccer: World Cup-Spain vs Portugal Sipa USA-USA TODAY Sports

If you told me that yesterday's World Cup matches would reach include some salaciously late drama, I might have been surprised.

After all, it's rare that matches feature late drama at all, let alone all of them on a single day.

But drama we had, and frankly, after an opener that had all the excitement of a San Jose Earthquakes game, we deserved something that rewarded us for watching.

Which was your favorite late goal? Was it Uruguay’s game winner before stoppage time? Iran’s miracle own goal deep in stoppage? Cristiano Ronaldo’s third goal that tied things up against Spain?

The drama was immense, and it sure made for some great television. There's plenty of historic qualities here.

While we're here, a word. Jason Kreis has been fired at Orlando City SC. There's now loads of talk about how he never adapted to the new era of MLS. Is that true? What's up with Jason? Think about it, and get back to us. I'd like to talk in depth tomorrow.
