2018 season thus far
The season has not been kind to the New Jersey-based club. Through 8 games, Sky Blue has only picked up one point from a 1-1 draw against Chicago Red Stars on April 21. They have yet to record a win with losses to North Carolina Courage (twice), Seattle Reign (three times), Houston Dash, and Washington Spirit.

#1, Kailen Sheridan - Sheridan has 28 saves on the season, giving her the fifth-best save record in the league.
#16, Sarah Killion - Killion has recorded two assists, tying for second in the league for assists. Killion appears to be Sky Blue’s main player to distribute passes, leading the team in successful passes (304) and successful crosses from open play (3).
Sky Blue FC Overview
There were many changes for Sky Blue FC prior to the 2018 season. Most notably, trades and a new head coach make this team different from its 2017 form. Australian international Sam Kerr was traded to Chicago Red Stars, and Kelley O’Hara and Taylor Lytle were also traded to Utah Royals FC. In return, Sky Blue gained Carli Lloyd, Shea Groom, and Christina Gibbons. Denise Reddy was hired in November 2017 to lead the club after spending time with Washington Spirit as an assistant coach.
Sky Blue’s defense has allowed 14 goals so far in the 2018 NWSL season and has struggled to score goals, with only 5 for the year. Reddy knows that her team has to maintain possession and be aggressive in the final third, capitalizing on the chances they create as they get ready to face Utah Royals FC.
