How to watch Real Salt Lake vs. Columbus Crew

Life on the road for RSL hasn’t been positive. Will Columbus be the chance to win?

MLS: U.S. Open Cup-Real Salt Lake vs Sporting KC Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Match details

  • When: 5:30 p.m. Mountain, 6:30 p.m. Central
  • Where: Mapfre Stadium; Columbus, Ohio
  • TV: KYMU (2.2 over-the-air)
  • Web: KSL.com (free), ESPN Plus (paid)
  • Mobile: KSL TV app
  • Radio: ESPN700 (English), 104.7 FM/107.1 FM (Spanish)

Lineup news

  • Joao Plata is off the injury list, though it’s hard to say what that means. I’m not anticipating a start, but Nick Rimando’s Instagram showed him on a team bus in Columbus.
  • Justen Glad isn’t listed on the official injury report, but after last week’s apparent concussion, I suspect he won’t be playing. If he is, I hope he’s OK.
  • The usual suspects are out: Jordan Allen, Shawn Barry, Tony Beltran, Demar Phillips, Alex Horwath. Joining them? David Horst and Ricky Lopez-Espin, both of whom underwent surgeries.

Lineup prediction

Rimando
Lennon, Baird, M. Silva, Acosta
Beckerman, Kreilach
Savarino, Rusnak, Saucedo
Baird

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mike Petke throw a bit of a spanner in the works here as he tries to get a result on the road. I don’t think he’ll go outright defensive, but I do think he’s tired of losing on the road, nearly without exception.
