Player Ratings: RSL 2-0 Seattle

New, comments

RSL won its sixth straight game at home.

MLS: Seattle Sounders at Real Salt Lake Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 5 Rimando did not have much to do with zero saves required of him.

Danilo Acosta - 6.5 Danny stepped up to provide some help defense on more than one occasion and was involved in the attack a few times as well.

Marcelo Silva - 6 Silva was in control of his area on the night and Seattle didn’t get anything through him.

Justen Glad - 6.5 Besides one misstep on receiving a pass, Glad had a great game. He prevented Seattle’s best chance on the night and was leading the back line.

Brooks Lennon - 6 Lennon had a solid game at outside back again and it’s high time fans recognize that he is formidable in that spot.

Damir Kreilach - 6.5 Kreilach quietly created many of RSL’s chances going forward through smart play and quality passing.

Sunny - 7 Sunny was the energy leader on the field again and was a big part of this win and the past few wins.

Kyle Beckerman - 5.5 Beckerman had a few shots and stepped up on defense, but had a pretty quiet game overall.

Jefferson Savarino - 6 Savarino once again put in the work on both sides of the ball. He kept Seattle’s defenders on their toes.

Corey Baird - 7.5 Baird came through again and got RSL on the board with a nicely timed header. He nearly had a goal of the season contender, but it went just wide. Most importantly, he is putting any doubters to shame.

Joao Plata - 5.5 Plata got a couple shots off before he came off due to injury, and one of them looked destined for the net if not for a quick reaction save.

Substitutions

Bofo Saucedo - 6 Bofo came on and didn’t lose any of the form that he played with over the past few games. He looked dangerous and involved the entire time he was on the field.

Luis Silva - 6.5 Silva came on and made himself useful pretty fast. His goal required a bit of skill to get around the defender and place the ball with the keeper out.

Nick Besler - N/A
