RSL vs Sporting KC: What we learned

I really don’t have a lot to say about tonight’s match. What we put out wasn’t good enough: not good enough at home, not good enough for guys trying to win spots with the first team, not good enough for a chance to win hardware.

I was hoping for more, for this team to continue with the momentum that they’ve built in MLS play. I was hoping to see SKC knocked out early, especially because we hosted.

It’s been a long couple of weeks and legs are tired, but where is the passion for US Open Cup Play? I don’t know. I love the tournament, but MLS play is, without a doubt, the focus.

Now it’s what we have to focus on because Open Cup play is done. Now, at least, we don’t have to worry about the extra matches and scheduling involved in Open Cup play. So that’s something, I suppose.

Oh well.

Wash your hands and move forward.
