Player Ratings: RSL 2-0 Dallas

Savarino led the way for RSL on the night.

MLS: FC Dallas at Real Salt Lake Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 6 Rimando had one save and it was a big one off of a corner kick that he barely was able to deflect.

Danilo Acosta - 6 Danny played calm and collected on both sides of the ball and managed the game as well as anyone.

Marcelo Silva - 5 On both of FC Dallas’ shots on goal, Silva was marking the guy who got the shot off. Other than that, he played well. He was fortunate that those did not go in the net.

Justen Glad - 6 Not too much was asked of Glad on the night, but he came through when called upon to help maintain possession.

Brooks Lennon - 5.5 It was another quiet yet effective night from Lennon. He probably wants that play back where he dribbled into the box and did not find Rusnak unmarked.

Damir Kreilach - 6.5 Kreilach had a really good showing and was a leader for RSL in managing this game against a heavy-legged FC Dallas. He found the streaking Savarino towards the end of the game and was justly awarded with an assist.

Kyle Beckerman - 6.5 Beckerman was Beckerman. He broke up much of what Dallas wanted to do and was a great captain against the leaders of the West.

Albert Rusnak - 6 Rusnak took his penalty well and had another shot on goal, but was relatively quiet besides that.

Jefferson Savarino - 8.5 Savarino was literally dribbling circles around defenders and was RSL’s engine all night long. He had not one, but two goal line saves and came up with an assist in the last couple of minutes.

Corey Baird - 5 This was a game in which Baird went unnoticed for large stretches. He did his best to open up space and make runs, but Dallas did not pressure RSL enough to force them to do much besides pass laterally.

Bofo Saucedo - 6 Bofo had a great take that Gonzalez was able to save, unfortunately for him. He was in the mix up front though and drew the penalty to give RSL their lead.

Substitutions

Luis Silva - 6.5 Silva came on as a sub again and had a goal as a sub again. At this point, he is what you would call the proverbial “super sub.”

Sunny - 6 Sunny had some great footwork that helped Salt Lake kill the game off and keep the ball away from Dallas. Outside of a couple errant passes, he had a really clean performance.
