Near the Pitch @ Tournament of Nations

The United States Women’s National Team took on Australia in East Hartford, CT on Sunday, July 29th in the second game for the two teams in the Tournament of Nations. Australia took the early lead in the 22nd minute and looked to defeat the United States for the second year in row. As the game neared the end, the United States had one more chance on a corner kick. Megan Rapinoe crossed the ball to the far post, where Lindsey Horan was able to head the late equalizer in the 90th minute.

Four Utah Royals FC players represented in this one: Katrina Gorry for Australia and Christen Press, Becky Sauerbrunn, and Amy Rodriguez for the U.S.
