RSL’s FIFA 19 rankings, revealed

The day we’ve all waited for is here, and no, it’s not an Apple announcement.

It’s that magical time of year when players around the world get to know exactly how good they are in comparison to each other by an objective, flawless measure.

Or something like that.

The FIFA 19 rankings are out, and we’ve collected them in one handy place. We’ll go over a few of the bigger measures, then go through some takeaways.

Takeaways

  • Nick Rimando with 74 dribbling is simply remarkable. I don’t think it’s entirely accurate, but it’s also not entirely inaccurate. How great is that. When I play FIFA 19, I’m going to dribble up-field with Rimando and score a goal. It’ll never work, but I’m going to do it anyway.
  • Joao Plata is listed as an incredibly fast player, but I do wonder if he’s the fastest we have.
  • Albert Rusnak is our top player. Any surprises? No. But we have a number of players with numbers around him, and that’s pretty cool. We do have a team with a lot of raw talent.
