Soapbox Oracle - 9/9

5 way tie for best reader pick - including a new player! But none of them pick up the Oracle of the Week.

Oracle Scoring System:

  • Getting the right result (Team A beats Team B): 1 point
  • Each correct number of goals for either team: 1 point (result was 1-1, and you picked 2-1; gives you 1 correct pick and 1 wrong pick so 1 point).
  • If you picked the correct goal for one team, and the final result (result was 2-0, and you picked 2-1; you get 1 point for the goal, and one for the result so 2 points).

So there is are 0-3 points possible for EVERY game. Bonus games will also be added occasionally with International games, Open Cup and others.

Portland Timbers beating the Colorado Rapids came as no surprise to everyone with 9 people picking the exact score. However the Real Monarchs loss to San Antonio was completely unexpected with only one person picking up one point. Lastly for only the 3rd time this season your humble author has eked out another win.

It’s not too late to start, anyone can get Oracle of the Week for most points that week; and you could always try for best Points Per Game!
