With three picks in the 2019 NWSL College Draft, Utah Royals FC selected Michelle Maemone (Pepperdine University), Madeline Nolf (Penn State), and Alexandra Kimball (University of North Carolina). All three players will join the team for preseason in hopes of making the roster for the 2019 season.
Michelle Maemone - (Defender) - 5th pick (3rd round)
- A San Jose, California native
- Played 78 games for Pepperdine, 69 of those were starts
- Scored three goals in her collegiate career
- Registered four assists
- Part of a backline that recorded a West Coast Conference-best 0.82 goals-against average
Madeline Nolf - (Defender) - 9th pick (3rd round)
- Omaha, Nebraska native
- Spent five seasons at Penn State (redshirted in 2016)
- Helped a Nittany Lion defense to 14 shutouts in the 2018 season, allowing only 13 goals
- Earned over 77 starts at Penn State
- Played in the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, starting in all six matches for the United States
Alexandra Kimball - (Forward) - 5th pick (4th round)
- Born in Salt Lake City
- Grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina
- Appeared in 92 matches for UNC, recording 994 total minutes
- Scored nine goals and recorded seven assists
- Has already spent time training with NWSL clubs (Portland Thorns FC in 2013 & Utah Royals in 2018)
