Two RSL players were called into the US Men’s National Team camp this January, but only one will travel for the upcoming friendlies against Panama and Costa Rica.

This afternoon Gregg Berhalter, the newly minted USMNT coach, trimmed his camp roster down from 28 players to 23. As part of that cut, Justen Glad has been released from the camp and will join up with his Real Salt Lake teammates to begin preparations for the 2019 season. This will likely be disappointing news for Justen, but good news for an RSL backline keen to improve on their 58 goals conceded in 2018.

On the other hand, MLS’s 2018 Rookie of the year Corey Baird has made the final travel roster as a midfielder and will hope to receive his first cap on January 27th against Panama or February 2nd against Costa Rica.
