Real Salt Lake’s search for a permanent coach and general manager looks to have come to a close, with the club announcing today that they have planned a press conference revealing the news.
The press release, as you might imagine, doesn’t actually say who it is. Smart money would be on Freddy Juarez and Elliott Fall, respectively, but a smart bet isn’t always the right one.
Given, however, that the club is making moves — the Brooks Lennon departure, for one — the easy move is the one I’m aiming for.
The event is set to take place at Rio Tinto Stadium at 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Those being announced will be available to the media following the announcement.
We’ll have more on this soon, but for now, it at least looks like we’re going to have a conclusion to a drawn-out saga.
So, Fall and Freddy? That’s where I’m going with this.
