In what has been a relatively news free holiday break, Real Salt Lake fans have a bit of good news to ring in the New Year. Our own 22 year old center back Justen Glad has been called into the US Men’s January Camp. This year the camp will break from the norm of training in southern California and will travel to the future site of World Cup 2022, Qatar.
Glad will have the opportunity to impress US coach Gregg Berhalter and hope to crack the starting XI for the friendly that will take place at the conclusion of camp against Costa Rica. That game will be played in Carson, California at the home of the LA Galaxy.
Glad has been called into the men’s first team only once before for a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina but failed to see the field.
